Singing lessons are about you.

What we do is completely up to you — technique, songs, stage presence, songwriting, or just a chat about where you want to get to. We start where you are.

Singing can be scary, and singing in front of a stranger even more so. But when you walk into my studio there's nothing there but me, you and the voice.

Well — almost nothing. My spaniel Buddy is usually there too, and he's heard worse than anything you can throw at him.

I've taught singers from 10 to 90 — and if you think you can't do it, I'm here to tell you that you can. We all have a voice.

Before your first lesson

What happens in a first lesson?

We talk about what you want, do a gentle warm-up, and try a little singing so I can hear your voice. No audition, no pressure, and nothing you have to prepare.

Do I need to be able to sing already?

No. Beginners and nervous singers are my favourite students.

Can we do it online?

Yes — online sessions run on video call, same price and same lesson.

How old do I have to be?

I teach from 10 upwards. The Tuesday choir is adults only, 18+.
